OUR
GUIDES

AC Guides celebrate a successful summit of Mount Everest after returning safely to Camp 2.

The friendly and companionable guides who make up the Adventure Consultants team are recognised as some of the most skilled and experienced mountaineers in the world. In addition to each of them having an extensive climbing background, our guides are qualified under the auspices of the highest qualifying body in mountain guiding; the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA/UIAGM).

We believe that you should always insist on internationally qualified guides as you would insist on the qualifications of any
person to whom you invest so much responsibility in. The AC guides have individually taken their professions to the highest of levels, yet relish the opportunity to share the environment they are so passionate about and communicate this in an atmosphere of confidence and enjoyment. If there are any specific traits we encourage in our guiding staff, it is compatibility coupled with effective leadership. We know that good leadership translates into successful and safe experiences in the outdoor environment.

Leadership to us means being able to bring a group together for a common goal, with positive coaching and encouragement being highlights of the trip. These are the key aspects that set us apart and that enable us to consistently operate great adventures and expeditions. We are recognised as being amongst the best in the business, an accolade we continue to aspire
to that provides our motivation for continual reflection and improvement. Whether you are considering your first foray into
the mountain environment, or are returning for an intense expedition at the higher end of the scale, our guides do their very
best to ensure you have an amazing time and achieve success!

"Good guides understand that part of the payoff is the opportunity to help create one of life’s most powerful experiences for someone they’ve just met. I salute the Guides of Adventure Consultants, who do just that every time they lead an expedition."

"Steve judged the different characters on the expedition very well and everyone warmed to his clear but understated manner. His logistical management of both the equipment and provisions was faultless. His cheese cake was a dream!"

AC Sherpa Team

Almost always the strongest climbers on Himalayan expeditions, these highly skilled Sherpas are an integral part of our operation. Most of our Climbing Sherpas have all summitted Everest several times. They are a tight knit team representing the best of the best.
