A winter season in Canada solidified Australian Alex's love of mountaineering and lured him away from a potential career in mechanical engineering to follow his calling as a guide. Since then, Alex has never looked back, climbing all over the world and sharing his great sense of adventure with his clients.
Alex grew up skiing and hiking in the mountains of Australia. At the age of 19, he moved to Canada to work as a ski instructor, and it was here that he found his love for mountaineering. Since then he has spent as much time as possible climbing and skiing in the mountains all over the world including Europe, Alaska, New Zealand, Thailand and South America.
Alex is a fully qualified IFMGA guide and has worked as a ski instructor and guide, ski patrol manager, and as a mountain safety specialist and public avalanche forecaster. He also has a degree in Mechanical Engineering but says guiding has always been the more natural career choice for him. Alex has a great sense of adventure and he looks forward to sharing his passion for the mountains with you.
