Tibor HromadkaTibor is a fully qualified IFMGA Mountain Guide from Košice, Slovakia who sometimes joins us in New Zealand over our busy summer season and has now guided several of New Zealand's iconic peaks. He is permanently based in Štôla, Slovakia where he guides the mountains of the High Tatras.

Tibor started climbing in 1983, at age 18, and became a guide in 2000. He enjoys the freedom of climbing and likes sharing that as well as the amazing environment with clients when guiding.

His most memorable climbing experience is a rock climb up the Nose of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. The Nose is one of the original technical climbing routes up El Capitan. Once considered impossible to climb, El Capitan is now the standard for big-wall climbing.
