Bio
Peter grew up in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand, where his lifelong love for the mountains began with a passion for skiing and ski racing at an young age. Early on, Peter decided that he wanted to devote his professional life to pursuing adventures in the backcountry. Peter has most definitely made his passion for mountaineering a lifestyle, and in recent years has travelled to Europe, India, North America and Japan in pursuit of great lines and ski mountaineering adventure. He now makes his home just outside of Wanaka and it is his greatest pleasure to share the mountain life with others. Peter is a qualified NZMGA Ski and Climbing Guide and joins the AC and First Tracks teams leading our guided climbing and ski touring options and backcountry ski touring courses.
