Bio
Born in Canada, Eric has spent the last 15 plus years exploring the mountains of Western Canada, the United States and Europe. He is an internationally certified IFMGA guide who lives in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. He spends his summers rock and alpine guiding throughout Canada’s great climbing ranges of the Rockies, Purcells and Selkirks. The winter sees Eric guiding ice climbing and endlessly pursuing powder as a Heli and Ski touring guide.
Eric’s love of guiding was ignited on his first trip to New Zealand when he discovered movement through mountains. He sees guiding as a way to experience the natural environment, help people explore their personal limits and work as part of a dynamic team while witnessing the rawness of nature. Eric believes the mountains to be one of his greatest teachers, as their scale brings perspective and humility to life.
Mountain travel is what truly inspires Eric, and he loves nothing more than sharing this passion with others, helping them explore and discover these beautiful, and bold places. He is passionate about teaching people the skills to safely navigate all types of terrain using their own power. His enthusiasm and energy are endless and truly contagious.
