Dave McKinley has an abundance of high altitude experience, leading him to be one of New Zealand's most respected alpine guides. Based on New Zealand's South Island, you can also find Dave climbing high on Adventure Consultants' international expeditions to the Himalayas and beyond.

Bio
Dave McKinley brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the AC Guiding Team. Originally trained in hospitality, Dave spent some time working as a chef before his love of the mountains saw him train as a mountain guide. A fully qualified IFMGA Mountain and Ski guide, Dave's many years climbing amongst the Southern Alps has seen him become one of New Zealand's most well-respected guides. In addition to his years climbing and guiding in New Zealand, he has guided on expeditions to many high altitude destinations around the world including the Himalaya, Europe and the Americas.
Dave lives near the heart of New Zealand's Southern Alps, in Twizel, close to Aoraki Mount Cook, with his wife, three children and three dogs.
