Chris Ensoll

IFMGA Mountain & Ski Guide

Chris Ensoll feels at home in the mountains, a somewhat unsurprising fact after having spent some forty years working and recreating in the outdoors. A fully qualified IFMGA mountain and ski guide, Chris has a wealth of experience climbing and guiding in the European Alps.

Chris Ensoll SkiWhat initially started as a hobby, climbing and camping with family, soon led to employment and the pathway to becoming a fully qualified guide. Now based in the beautiful English Lakes District, Chris spends some time each summer guiding for AC in the European Alps, he enjoys somewhat of a holistic approach to the mountains believing that "if you need to take time out to explore your physical and mental boundaries, to reconnect with what is important, to be encouraged and refreshed, then a trip to the mountains could be just what you need."

When he's not in the mountains you'll find Chris spending time with his family, often in the mountains, or engaging in his other passion - riding his motorbike.
