Suze has been the mainstay of Adventure Consultants for the past 30 years, co-ordinating the office in the late 90's, before moving into the General Manager role and more recently Director.
Suze oversaw the growth of the company though these decades with a focus on maintaining the quality that the company is renowned for in its international and domestic operations, whilst keeping the look and feel of the company as friendly, customer focused and family sized. Since early 2024 Suze continues with the company in the role of Director, providing support for the AC team in addition to our valued client-base into the future.
Over the years Suze has developed her mountaineering both in New Zealand and worldwide culminating in summiting Mount Everest in 2017, after summiting Lhotse in 2013. She has climbed Aoraki – Mount Cook, Mt Aspiring, Island Peak, Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Mt Kenya and Vinson. Leading treks for AC to Everest Basecamp and Kilimanjaro has become a specialty for her in addition to her management role with AC.
Suze was attempting Everest in 2015 and was at Camp 1 with the AC climbing team when the Nepal earthquake occurred on April 25. She then spent the next three weeks in Nepal helping to clean up at Base Camp and supporting the staff and families of the AC Sherpa team who were affected by the earthquake. She has been working on fundraising and coordination for our Sherpa Future Fund ever since.
