With an easygoing Kiwi nature and a deep passion for the outdoors, Ryan brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the AC guiding team.
Growing up hunting and fishing on the wild West Coast of New Zealand fostered Ryan’s love for the natural world and adventure. When he discovered mountaineering in his late teens, he was instantly hooked and went on to spend the next decade climbing and skiing at every opportunity.
After gaining a Diploma in Outdoor Instruction and Guiding in 2016, Ryan has built a diverse career working on rivers, canyons, glaciers, and mountains across New Zealand, Europe, Nepal, and Georgia. His calm presence, solid technical skills, and genuine enjoyment of the mountain environment make him a trusted and respected guide. Ryan is an NZMGA Assistant Climbing and Assistant Ski Guide and is currently on the IFMGA pathway. He has recently joined the Adventure Consultants team guiding on our Himalayan trekking peaks.
