When not away on expeditions to Kilimanjaro or Everest Base Camp, Swiss guide Rene Schwaller can be found loving life in the mountains of his adopted New Zealand, heli-ski guiding and ski touring in the winter and trekking or paragliding in the summer.
Born in Switzerland and raised on skis, Rene is now based in Queenstown, New Zealand. For the past 30 years he has been guiding people heli-skiing in the Southern Alps of New Zealand during the winter months and working as an Adventure Trekking Guide both in New Zealand and around the world during the summer months. Also a professional paragliding pilot, he has climbed and flown several high peaks, including the highest in New Zealand, Aoraki Mount Cook. Rene regularly guides for Adventure Consultants on Kilimanjaro and our Everest Base Camp Treks.
