Mountain & Ski Guide
AC IFMGA Guide Luis Benitez skiing on the Antarctic Peninsula

Luis is the quintessential outdoor professional, with a career that spans from the heights of Everest to the halls of government, championing the outdoor recreation industry.

Building a solid foundation of outdoor education guiding through the Outward Bound Schools, Luis went on to join Adventure Consultants in the early 2000's, coordinating and guiding expeditions across the globe. Luis' climbing resume is impressive including six ascents of Mount Everest, 32 climbs of Seven Summits peaks and numerous climbs throughout South America, Nepal, Tibet and Europe.

Balancing his role in orchestrating expeditions to the world's most remote peaks, Luis transitioned to work in both the public and private sectors. Sharing his love of the outdoors sits at the heart of Luis' ethos, and alongside his impressive guiding and business resume, Luis has also co-founded the non-profit Trekking For Kids, facilitating service-based expeditions that enable participants to climb and trek while addressing local issues such as housing and healthcare for disadvantaged youth worldwide. He was also a founding partner of Warriors to Summits, a non-profit dedicated to connecting returning Veterans with the healing power of the outdoors.

We're excited to have Luis return to guide with the AC team. If you're lucky enough to join Luis you're sure to have an incredibly enjoyable and memorable experience!
