Having qualified as a mountain guide in the mid-eighties, Mario is one of our most well-rounded European guides. With decades of experience climbing and skiing in the Alps, Mario’s passion for the mountains remains as fresh as ever.

    Mario Ogliengo Large ProfileMario qualified as a mountain guide in the Aosta Valley, Italy, in 1984! Today with more than 30 years of climbing, skiing and hiking experience, he still enjoys sharing his passion for adventure in the mountains with clients.

    Originally from Italy, Mario is now based in Chamonix, France, and when he's not in the mountains can be found on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia with his family. There he continues his pursuit of climbing on the seaside limestone cliffs where he has been instrumental in opening a large number of climbs including the 'Mediterraneo' route in 1997, which is now one of the most repeated climbs in the area.

    Mario also speaks an impressive five languages, Italian, Spanish, French, German and English!
